What's your favourite day of the week? I'd love to hear all about it.

Write a letter of about 150 words in reply.

 

Dear Sabrina

Thanks for your letter and it was great to hear from you. You asked me to tell you about my favourite day of the week. Well, it's definitely Friday.

One reason I like Fridays is because I have my favourite subjects at school: PE and chemistry. Chemistry's great because we do experiments in the science lab and our teacher, Mr King, is so funny. In PE we usually play basketball, which is my favourite sport. I'm good at it because I'm quite tall. Our team usually wins.

We also have French on Fridays, which is actually my least favourite subject, but after that we have ICT which is much more interesting. At the moment I'm creating a webpage for our basketball team. After school I hang out with my friends, and then in the evening I play football at the sports centre. On Friday nights we sometimes go to someone's house for a party or to watch a DVD. We can relax a bit on Friday evenings because there's no school on Saturday.

Hi Sabrina . Last letter you asked me what's my favourite day in the week? My favourite day in the week is Tuesday . Resson 1 , I just have 4 lessons in the morning and 2 lesson in the afternoon so I go home at 2.45 pm.Resson 2 , I just have to learn 4 subjects in that day . Lesson 1 and 2 are English , 4 and 5 are Science , 6 is Local Education , 7 is Civic Education . These subject are very easy , I think so. Then I go home and rest.

When you mentioned your favourite day of the week I was really shocked because my favourite day of the week is also Friday and I guess you know the reason behind it. I was eating my favourite fruit orange and now I really want to know about your favourite fruit.

My favorite days of the week are Monday and Saturday.
On Mondays, there is a lunch break in school and in the afternoon, I have my favorite subject: Spanish!
And on Saturdays, I don't have to do anything and I just can do anything I like!

I am glad to hear about your favorite day. For me, Saturday is the best day of the week. Because I can relax completely without thinking about school problems. I would say that my favourite day of the week is friday due to the fact that I have an exciting feeling as the weekend is coming. My favorite day of the week is Thursday because on Thursdays we have Social Studies and, in that subject, we work in teams also we prepare presentations, then we have English and, in that subject, we read books like: Peachy and Keen, Improving communities and more. At the end of school’s day, we have Math and, in that subject, we learn about numbers, fractions and angles. After school, my family and I have lunch, after that I go to the park to play with my dog, at the end of the day, we have diner, something light because on Friday we eat chips and finally we go to sleep. Dear Sabrina, Thank you for writing me and asking me my favourite day. Well, it is a pretty hard question. I think it is Saturday. Because on Saturday I wake up early and do my homeworks. There is no school so I usually go out and play with my friends. We are best friends; we play basketball, we swing, we skip rope. Saturday mornings are really fun. In the evening after we eat our dinner we watch movie, or we play box games. Saturday evenings are really enjoyable. And the best part is that I can sleep at any time. I love Saturdays..!

Dear Sabrina, My favourite day of the week is Saturday. I always get excited when it is 8:00a.m because it is my favourite tuition time with my teacher. I always enjoy her classes, I also always get more knowledge from her. I got another reason why Saturdays are my favourite day is that I can see my cat, my cat is a black and white kitty. Hi Sabrina, It's great to hear all your news! I was staying in my grandmother's house for a while, and couldn't respond to you immediately. Answering your question: I used to love Saturdays. Since we are doing online school, I prefer Fridays now because I only have two classes, which is math and history (the most interesting subject). You know I am not a huge fan of calculus, but my teacher is so nice and humorous that we all enjoy her lectures. After class, I can watch TV series without having to worry about my homework, as you've said before. In the evening, my mom likes to cook a cake and make biscuits, which is also an activity we use to spend more time together. At night, I call my friends and sometimes we pick a movie to watch. I miss hanging out with them, unfortunately, the cases of Covid-19 has been rising every day making it impossible to go out. Anyway, how is your quarantine going? Dear Sabrina Hi, how are you? I am writing this letter to talk to you about my favourite day of the week which would be Saturday. I love Saturday because I can wake up at any time I like and do a bunch of exciting activities. As far as I am concerned Friday wouldn’t be my best day because my swimming training starts in the morning, my brother is so lucky because he hasn’t experienced the way he jumps in a cold water while he is in need for sleep. In Saturday I wake up, take a bath and eat my warm breakfast. Later I sit and watch a movie with my parents till 4:00pm so I would be ready for handball classes, at sunset timing I would be more dedicate to scoring because I would have already saved enough energy to hit a goal. Hello Sabrina how are you, Oh wow you do a lot of thing in Friday it's really nice and I see you continue to play tennis and love Art it's good to listening I really happy for you Well you asked me about my favorite day of the week? well you know it's definitely Thursday. First, at school, to 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM we are free we don't have a teacher so, you can go to the library in the school read a lots of fantastic books or, you can go to a classroom and talked with your friend, debate, etc after we have French ohhhhhhhhhhhh I love French our teacher she's really amazing for example she can take all the hour to tell us the story of antiques the prehistoric age we really love her and her subject . After that we have sport I adore sport mostly football we have a lot's of fun . then we have breaks it lunch time we ate at school you bring your own lunch bag. after we have biology myyyyyyyyyy favorite subject with my favorite teacher . Biology is my life we learn a lot of thing about bacteria human body, plant it's fantastic we have two hours of biology so I can enjoy a lot. Finally at 3:00 PM I'm back to the house I ate again And watch my series or a movie. Thursdays is really a nice day.

Hi Sabrina, How are you? Thanks for your letter it is great to hear from you. I am writing this letter to tell you about my favourite day of the week which is Friday. I like Friday because that it is the only day I relax. Unlike other days where I have to go to schools on all five days ,and on Saturdays and Mondays I have to go to handball practice. I start my day by preparing my breakfast at 7:15am then i would wear my flannel shirt with jeans then I go for a walk at the nearest park which is a few minutes away from my house and if I am lucky enough I could meet my friends there. At 10:00am I return home and then I would play video games or board games with my brother till the evening. In the evening my family gather together to watch a movie. My favorite day is Friday because it is end of the school week and the beginning of the weekend so I am very relaxed on this day.At the weekends I spend my time with my family, we go out and sometimes we visit my grandparents and I meet my cousin. So, I love Fridays.

Dear. British Council Editors. Hi, I've been wondering if you can answer my another question, please.. The first question of the 'Check Your Understanding: True or False', is this: Dani is a high-school student. And I thought this isn't mentioned in the text, and I checked 'false'. Thanks for your message. You have a good point, Dani says she goes to school, but she doesn't actually say that it's a high school in the letter. However, we can guess that she's in high school because of some of the things she says about it (for example that she does chemistry experiments in the science lab) and that she's creating a webpage for her basketball team.

I like Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Tuesday is when I go to school since the Social Distancing for COVID19 was ended, so I always looking foward to that day, 'cause that is the only day I can get along with my friends in a week. And I go to British Council on Wednesday and Saturday. I like B(ritish)C(ouncil) for I can use only English! No Korean even between my friends! I love using English, but I think it's so difficult to understand th pronounciations of British English. by the way, I liked Wednesday the most last year too, because that was the day of the meeting and practicing the musicals. I'd been singing, dancing, and acting with the other actors, and it made me to feel extremely happy. It helped me throwing the stressed which was on my mind. I could laugh, and I could cry during acting. Anyway, Wednesday was my favorite day so far, and the last reason is this: It's the middle of a week, and I can spend my rest of week with the thrilling feeling!!!!!!

Dear Sabrina, Hi! I hope you`re well. Thanks for your letter! You asked me about my favourite day of the week, so I like Friday. The firts reason - it`s the last day of the working week. And I usually go home from the city, where I studying now. I don`t like go by bus, but it`s only one cheap and easy way to get to home. Secondly, on the Friday I have only 2 or 3 lessons, my favourite lessons! I have History with the best teacher. He`s very kind and smart, and always tells anecdotes. After History I have English, where we speak a lot and takes new necessary skills. At the end I have Music. On the lesson I play the piano, I like this the most. Dear Alex, Thanks for your letter. It was great to hear from you. On your previous letters, you asked me to tell you my favourite day of the week. Well, it's Saturday. One reason I like Saturdays is because I have basketball practice in the mornings which is my favourite sport. I'm not very good at it, but that's why I practise. After that, I have a guitar lesson and Mr. Makis, my teacher, is really funny! I have learnt lots of songs and every year, my other classmates at School of Rock music and I perform some of them at Green Dollars, a café. In the evenings, I usually watch a movie with my family, but sometimes, my friends come to my house or I go to their house and play. Well my favorite day of the week is saturday because in the morning i like to do my homework so I can study and practice the thing that we saw in the week, also I am in a korean course because I want to learn korean so i can travel to south korean and study there and meet new people and know more about their traditions and their culture. In the afternoon I have my swimming class, I practice it since i was 3 years old and now i am a professional swimmer and i like to go to competitions and win medals and other stuff like that also this have teach that sometimes i would lost a competion and thats good because in another opportunity i can give the best of me. Because there is my favorite subject. I like physical education. In PE class, we play football. After school, we also play football as well. We relax our study stress by playing football. So, My favorite day of the week is Thursday because I could relax after school not worry about anything or go out with my family to eat dinner but if we don’t have any plans. My favorite day of the week is Thursday cause I only have 4 classes in that day. My class finishes at 11am so I can have lots of free time. I come back home from schooland do my homeworks. After lunch I go out with my friends. I come back home at 5pm and do my other lessons. I go to bed at 11pm cause Friday is our holiday. So we have no school and I can stay awake till the midnight. My favourite day of the week is Friday because it's the end of the week at school. On Friday, after school I go to my friend's to play PLAY STATION 4. After this, my dad comes to take me for a drive but sometimes we just go home. On Saturday I get up at 10:00 and I have a lot of time to play outside or I may go fishing. My favorite day of the week is Friday ,because Friday is last day of week .I really enjoy Friday night with a dinner that cooked by myself ,after that I watch movie with parent at my room . I'm really relax on the bed because I haven't a schedule next morning . Every Friday night I spend time at my house.also Friday is special day for TV program . My favorite TV program broadcast Friday at 10:00 pm to 11:00 pm . I watch every Friday . On other hand is subject. I learn chemistry at lab is every Friday. my favorite day of the week Thursday because it is the last day of the week and me sometimes i get to stay at school late till my parents pick me which is the best because I could have some time to spend with my friend who is a teachers daughter so she stays till 3 at school with me up till I leave and we also get to have my favorite class which is achieved class I love it because last year I was an expert in it I have also raised my school and now I got a chance to teach all beginners in my school !
